About Martine Friedman MAPS
I work with adults with a broad range of mental health and emotional well-being concerns. I feel privileged to work collaboratively with my clients towards their therapy goals using evidence-based, transdiagnostic therapies. I have a particular interest in trauma focused therapy, perinatal mental health, emotion regulation difficulties and family of origin issues.
My experience includes facilitating intensive group therapy and individual therapy in private psychiatric, public mental health and medical hospital settings. I have worked in clinical, supervisory and program development roles. I enjoyed many years working at King Edward Memorial Hospital’s Department of Psychological Medicine and provide therapy for birth trauma, premature delivery, perinatal loss, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and adjustment and bonding difficulties.
I am an Accredited Practitioner with the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA), and a registered provider with ICWA, DVA, Medicare and private health funds.
